The Unfolding Story Of iPhone That You Should Know

According to a recent study, iPhone stands at the second place in the worldwide market with a market share of 12% and a marginal increase of 1.5% over the last year. But, the good news is that it's growing at a better rate than the market leader here. However, when you talk about iPhone 7, you should know that there is another product in this series known as iPhone 7 Plus.

Both the handsets come with a slew of features bespoke to the changing demands of the users. Those are also helping to create unique consumer experience thereby unfolding stories across the geographies.

Key features of the handsets under iPhone 7:

  • New processors: Both handsets have been equipped with Apple A10 Fusion processor that has 64-bit four core CPU. Besides, it has a 6-core GPU that makes it unique and even better than the A9 processor of Apple. In essence, A10 is the quad-core system-on-a-chip (SoC). The SoC is a microchip on a single integrated circuit (IC) and it is fitted with parts and electronic circuits required for a smartphone. Improvements like those have contributed to an overall improvement of the handsets here in terms of its' performance as well as aesthetics.
  • Powerful camera: When you talk about cameras available with both the handsets, you should know that there has been a striking improvement in its' application. For instance, the iPhone 7 Plus has better camera functions such as the zoom function with two units of 12-megapixel rear cameras. Out of those two, one camera has a telephoto lens of 56 mm while the other has 28mm wide-angle lens. However, the iPhone 7 has an optical image stabiliser and a quad-LED flash with a 7-megapixel front camera. The best part is that it has f/1.8 and a 12-megapixel sensor that saves 30% energy and also runs 60% faster than its earlier models.
  • Sleeker design: Sleekness has got a new definition here with the 7th series of smartphones. You will be happy to know that the increasing popularity of iPhone's sleekness has been retained with the latest arrivals such as the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X (to be read as iPhone 10).
  • No headphone jack: Both the handsets have been barred from the 3.5 mm headphone jack. As a matter of fact, Apple has been able to make phones slimmer than before. On the flip side, such a compromise has made the battery life even better compared to earlier versions. It also has contributed to a weight loss. The 7 series phones weigh about 138 gm.
  • Stereo speakers: Two stereo speakers have been fitted here - one at the bottom and the other at the top for an improved sound quality and its dynamic range.
  • Waterproof: Both the handsets are water resistant, a first of its kind in the history of iPhones.
Other important improvements of iPhone 7 range of phones are its' new home button, high storage options like 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB, two new colours such as black and jet black thus totalling to five colours to choose from alongside the better and brighter display.
